Cora Downs, age 89 of Bentonville, Arkansas and formerly of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 in Bentonville.

Cora was born in Sacramento, California on September 30, 1923 to Louis Emmett and Pearl (Collins) Craft. On September 19, 1948 Cora married Derwood Downs and they were married for over 57 years before his death in 2005.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Derwood; and four brothers, Clarance Craft; Louis Craft; Hobart Carder; and George Carder; Cora is survived by one son, Jerry Sinner of California; two daughters, Darlene Wechselberger of Rogers, Arkansas; Danea Downs of Bentonville, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Memorial services will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Benton County Memorial Park’s Funeral Home Chapel (3800 W. Walnut) in Rogers, Arkansas. Inurnment will follow for both Cora and Derwood Downs at Benton County Memorial Park.
