Mr. Richard B Montgomery, age 82 of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home surrounded with love on Friday, September 11, 2020. He was born January 1, 1938 to Benjamin and Mary Ruth McGonigal Montgomery. Richard served the Air Force for 22 years before retiring in 1977. He then pursued a career as a Paramedic in Council Bluffs, Iowa for 20 years, before retiring as a security supervisor at Harrals Casino. He moved to Bella Vista in 2002, where he continued to work for Home Depot and later Lowes. Richard loved life, enjoying outside and being with family. He was a member of Highlands United Methodist Church, and the American Legion Post 341. Richard is survived by his loving wife Jennifer for 35 years, 2 sons, Richard (Janelle) Montgomery of Omaha, Nebraska, Scott Montgomery of Counsel Bluffs, Iowa. Daughter; Erica (Raymond) Weber, of Denison, Iowa. Stepdaughter, Megan (Jeff) Walker of Counsel Bluffs, Iowa, 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Many friends preceding him in death are his parents, Benjamin and Mary Ruth Montgomery, stepmother, Isabella Montgomery, and brother John Montgomery. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 1:00pm, at Highlands United Methodist Church 371 Glasgow Road, Bella Vista, Arkansas 72715 with Robert Cloninger Officiating. Memorials can be directed to the family C/O Jennifer Montgomery at 102 Ayr Drive, Bella Vista, Arkansas 72715. Cremation will follow the service. Arrangements by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers, Arkansas.
