Memorial for Richard Shelton

Richard "Dick" Shelton passed away November 2, 2020 at the age of 83. He was born in Ionia, Kansas to Ruby and Manuel Shelton. He is preceded in death by his parents; youngest son, Jimmy Shelton; his wife, Sharon, with whom he enjoyed 63 years of marriage and lost this past June. Richard opened Auto Service Center in downtown Rogers in 1973 and it is still open. He attended Wednesday Night Fellowship at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Rogers. Richard is survived by his daughter, Jolene Carrol and husband Mitch; sons, Jan Shelton and Jerry Shelton and wife Barbara; grandchildren, Leah Shelton, Angel Hollaway, Nick Brush and Jeff Goldston; sister, Donna Dress of California and brother, Frank Shelton of Kansas. No services are planned at this time and donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
