Suzanne Ames, 64, of Bentonville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 13, 2020. After a battle with cancer, she passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was born April 11, 1956 at Newport, Arkansas to Doffie and Pat Jarvis, and was raised in Jonesboro. She married Tommy, her husband of 24 years, on March 2, 1996 in Russellville. She touched many lives through a career dedicated to adult education, from which she retired in 2019 to spend more time with her grandchildren. Family was everything for this devoted wife, mother, and Nana. She is survived by her husband, Tommy, her children Brandon (Cari) Cooper of Fayetteville, Brett (Lindsey) Cooper of Gentry, Brooke (Matt) Love of Cave Springs, Nick (Rhea) Hardin of Humble, Texas, and Travis (Jennifer) Hardin of Huntsville, Alabama. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, her mother, Pat Jarvis of Jonesboro, sister Linda (Harold) Wilson of Jonesboro, niece Whitney (Tim) Welch of Bono, nephew Tanner Wilson of New York City, uncles Joe (Mary) McDonald and Charles Jarvis of Newport, aunt Linda McDonald of Texarkana, Texas, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Doffie Jarvis, aunt Alice Edgin, aunt Joyce Jarvis, and uncle Bill McDonald. A memorial service in her honor will be held Saturday, September 26 from 2-5pm at Benton County Memorial Park Chapel in Rogers, Arkansas.
