Obituary

Alexandria "Alex" Nicole Chappie, age 15 of Bentonville, passed away from a sudden illness September 14, 2012 at the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. Alex was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers on December 9, 1996 to Jordan "Jay" and Jana (Hollis) Chappie. She came into this world with a full head of that beautiful dark hair she has. She was a tomboy from the beginning, but somewhere around 11 years old, she started changing into the beautiful teenage girl we see today, no longer a tomboy. Independent, she didn't need the approval of others; but she strived to be nice to everyone she met. Alex enjoyed art, one of her pieces graces the cover; as well as photography, choir, music, humor, scary movies, and socializing. She loved animals. Along with the family cat & dog, she also had a cat, Snowball; two chinchillas, Achi and Gato; and recently added two mice surreptitiously. Going for walks, especially in the rain; and spending time with her friends were her favorite things. Alex is survived by her parents, Jordan "Jay" and Jana Chappie of the home; her paternal grandparents, Roy and Patricia Cope of Anderson, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Clifford and Sue Chappie of California; her maternal grandparents, Frank and Connie Hollis of Joplin, Missouri; one brother, Benjamin Chappie of Bentonville; one sister, Brittni Hall and her boyfriend Jason McBride of Rogers; best friends, Frances Sanchez, Zachary Martin, and Michael De Jesus; numerous other relatives and many friends.
