Alvin A. Tolbert, 76, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on July 17, 2024. He was born on September 26, 1947, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Alvin married the love of his life, Sue Walker, on October 7, 1966, in Lowell, Arkansas.  They enjoyed 57 years of marriage. He loved his kids and grandkids dearly.

He served as a Sergeant in the Arkansas Army National Guard. Early in his career, he worked as a tool designer for Rogers Tool Works (Wendt-Sonis) for 19 years; then Alvin spent the remainder of his career as a marketer for companies and products he believed in.  He and his wife attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers where they developed many friendships. Affectionately known as "Big Al", Alvin was a passionate, fun-loving guy who never met a stranger.  He had many interests in his life: fishing, water skiing, gardening, staying up late watching movies with his kids. He obtained licenses to sell securities, life and health insurance, acquired his pilot's license, and enjoyed a good motorcycle ride.  If it could be done, he would be doing it. He was truly one of a kind.

He is survived by his wife Sue Tolbert; three children, Melissa Moore and husband Ronald of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Aaron Tolbert and wife Danielle of Springdale, Arkansas, and Michael Tolbert and wife Shaina of Bentonville, Arkansas; and three grandchildren, Kathryn Moore, Trenton Tolbert, and Trevor Tolbert. Alvin is preceded in death by his son Matthew Gene Tolbert, mother Juanita Coppinger Tolbert, stepfather Tilmon Tolbert, father Alvin Lewis and sisters Faye Meadors and Janet Walker.

A memorial service celebrating Alvin's life will be on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 3800 W. Walnut St., in Rogers, Arkansas at 11:00am.
