Archie B Poplin, age 85 of Siloam Springs and formerly of Springdale, passed away December 24, 2022. Archie was born May 15, 1937 in McCaskill, Arkansas to parents James Thomas Poplin and Ethel Floyd Poplin. Archie was the tenth of twelve children. He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings. He was united in marriage to Georgia Ann Fountain on March 19, 1956. Georgia preceded him in death on December 12, 2022. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing dominoes and cards, fishing, and hunting. Archie served as an aircraft engine mechanic on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Bon Homme Richard in the Western Pacific. He was proud of his service in the U.S. Navy. He later owned Poplin Mobile Home Moving for many years. He is survived by his children, Archie Allen Poplin and wife Fredia of Round Mountain, Texas, Steve Poplin of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Ron Poplin and wife Cindy of Centerton, Arkansas, Brenda Blair and husband Jim of Gentry, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services with full military honors are set for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Circle of Life Hospice.
