IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Arnold Duane
Capps
September 15, 1955 – September 30, 2025
Arnold Duane Capps, 70, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025. He was born September 15, 1955, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to the late Curtis Ray and Rita Hoover Capps. He grew up alongside his five siblings, Steven, Donald Neal, Charles and William Capps and Katherine Jenkins. Affectionately known as "Shotrod" by his father, he was always up for mischief. He joined The United States Air Force, where he served proudly for twenty years. After retirement from The Air Force, he worked with JB Hunt Transport. Duane never hesitated to start trouble, but he also was always there to help when someone was in trouble. He would move heaven and earth to help friends and family. His passions in life were coffee, coins and Christmas with his family. He loved to share his numismatic passion by gifting family and friends with "100 year" sets of coins. He was a cherished father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Susan Marie and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his children, Joseph (Leslie) Capps, Edith (Robert) Christine Deters, Amanda (Ruben) Girona and Cassaundra (Russell) Davis Thurston; grandchildren, Deamon, Morgen, Owen, Mia and Nathaniel and his best friends, Lawrence "Skip" and Dale Nicolas.
The family requests memorials be made to NWA Humane Society at 405 E. Nursery Road, Rogers, Arkansas 72758.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
