Betty Bernice Brown, 83, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025 in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born on May 30, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Clouis and Bernice Powers Schlegel. On May 10, 1985, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Betty married Jerry Brown. She enjoyed many hobbies, including fishing, birdwatching, watching wildlife, and spending time in nature. Above all, Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Schlegel; sister in-law, Jan Schlegel; nephew, Kent Schlegel.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jerry Brown of Bella Vista, Arkansas; children, Steve Lazenby and his wife, Brenda of Liberty, Missouri, Malinda Stewart and husband, Joe of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Matt Lazenby of Alameda, California; four grandchildren, Eli Stewart of Estes Park, Colorado, Jonas Stewart of Atlanta, Georgia, Katelyn Lazenby and Jake Lazenby both of Liberty, Missouri; niece, Kara Simms and husband Andy of Branson, Missouri.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, with Pastor Chad Race officiating at Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Rogers, Arkansas. (479) 636-2412.
