Betty "Lynette" Jones, age 61, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and formerly of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away September 9, 2013. Lynette was born October 8, 1951 in Elk City, Oklahoma to parents Jack B. Hill and Rosie Vaughn Hill. She lived many years in Rogers and in recent years lived in Broken Arrow to be close to her daughter. Lynette was a member of the Victorious Believers Church in Broken Arrow and enjoyed Gospel singing, cars, entertaining and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ronald Penick of Dodge City, Kansas and her former spouse, Jimmy Lee Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Lynette Jones of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brothers, Quint Travis Penick and wife Phyllis and Donald Troy Penick and wife Barbara of Rogers; sister, Lynda Joyce Young and husband Rev. Charles Young of Owasso, Oklahoma; one grandchild, Savannah Jones of Broken Arrow and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Services with Pastor Terry Baker officiating will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, 3800 W.Walnut, Rogers.
