IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly June
Endekas
February 7, 1936 – September 3, 2024
Beverly June Endekas, 88, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. She was born on February 7, 1936, in Poughkeepsie, New York, to the late Joseph and Gladys Porter Mayhar. Beverly was fortunate to find the love of her life, James Endekas, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2003. Together, they created a life full of cherished memories and raised a close-knit, loving family. Beverly was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Beverly was a kind and nurturing woman who found her greatest joy in the presence of her family. Her face would light up when she spent time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often delighting in watching them play on their Nintendo Wii. In her earlier years, she was an avid outdoorswoman who thrived in nature—whether camping, fishing for the biggest catch, or embarking on day trips to local spots like Dogpatch, Dinosaur Valley, and Tahlequah, Oklahoma. These adventures were often shared with loved ones, making every journey even more special.
Known for her incredible homemade lasagna, Beverly's kitchen was always a place of warmth and comfort. Her delicious meals, coupled with her generous spirit, were an expression of her love for family and friends. Beverly's adventurous heart and gentle soul will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Endekas; her sons, James Endekas Jr. and Paul Endekas; her daughter, Carol Webb; her grandson, Thomas Sims; and her brother, Kenneth Mayhar and sister, Gladys Mayhar.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Michele Carter, and her husband, J.R.; her treasured grandchildren, Timothy Redburn and his wife, Kerry, Nathan Redburn, Daniel Carter and his wife, Mandi, Michael Endekas, and Aelesha Webb; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, and many other cherished family members and friends.
A graveside service celebrating the life of Beverly Endekas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
