Billie Payne Pennington was born February 15, 1929 in Lela, Tx and passed from this life on February 13, 2025 in Bentonville, Ar. at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jefferson Pennington, by two daughters, Linda Parker and Melissa Wilson, by one granddaughter, Amanda Georgakis, by one great-granddaughter, Kassidy Burleson, and by one great-great-granddaughter, Sunny Walls. She is survived by three children, Barry Pennington (and wife, Kay) of Lago Vista, Tx, Debra King (and husband, Warren) of Rogers, Ar, and Chris Pennington (and wife, Vicki) of Magnolia, Tx. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by two brothers, a sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Downtown church of Christ in Rogers.
Billie grew up around Stephenville, Texas, the oldest of seven children. She eventually moved to Artesia, New Mexico where she met 'Dub', the love of her life, whom she married in 1947, shortly after the war. She was a homemaker who loved her family dearly. Dub worked in the oilfields of New Mexico for many years and eventually became a gospel preacher, with Billie as his supportive wife. She became a widow in January 1980 and lived the rest of her life devoted to her family and her Lord.
