Billy James Payne, 80, of Rogers, Arkansas sadly passed away on September 23, 2026. He was born on November 26, 1945 in Morganton, Arkansas to Willis James Payne and Helen Mae (Linn) Payne.

Billy graduated from Southside High School in 1964 after which he served in the National Guard from 1966 to 1971. A short time after he completed his service he switched gears and became a truck driver and in retirement he opened a successful lawn care business. Billy first met Floy Ward in 1976 and were married on June 18th,1977 in Bradford AR and immediately started their family. Billy enjoyed attending Faith Full Gospel Church and he spent his free time working on his truck, going to car shows, maintaining his lawn and fishing with his children and grandchildren. Billy’s proudest accomplishment was being a kind, faithful and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents James & Mae Payne, and his sisters Patsy Payne and Linda Quattlebaum.

He is survived by his wife Floy, his son Ronnie Vowell & his wife Amelia, their children Alyssa, Logan, Jordan, Gunnar & Annika as well as his son Billy Payne & his wife Christa, their children Kinzie, Alex & Jarren. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Spears, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Faith Full Gospel Church, 5456 N Oak Street, Bethel Heights, AR 72764. A funeral service will be held the following Tuesday, September 29 th at Faith Full Gospel Church at 2:00 P.M., officiated by Pastor Anthony Bower. Billy will be laid to rest at Benton County Memorial Park.
