Bobbie Claire West, age 82 of Rogers and formerly of Newport, Arkansas, passed away August 13, 2014. Mrs. West was born May 7, 1932 in Griffithville, Arkansas to parents Thomas Jefferson Pickard and Mary Stitt Pickard. She was united in marriage to Norris Edwin "Bill" West on July 7, 1950 in Kensett, Arkansas. In recent years, Mrs. West was active in the Red Hat Club, the Senior Circle at Harris Hospital in Newport and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She is survived by her husband Bill, of the home; one son, Tom West and wife Karon of Madison, Mississippi; one daughter, Mary Alyce Madden and husband Harold of Rogers; grandchildren, Courtney Ogden and husband Levon, Josh Madden all of Fayetteville, Amy West and Tommy West of Madison, Mississippi. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, 2014, from 12:00 until 2:00 pm with a Memorial Service remembering the life of Mrs. West immediately following at 2:00 pm at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel in Newport, AR.
