Carmen Maria Santiago, age 87, passed away on March 8th, 2024, in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born July 15, 1936, in Coamo, Puerto Rico.

Carmen's heart overflowed with love for her family. Her cooking always brought loved ones together, creating cherished moments of joy and happiness around the table. Following dinner, she delighted in indulging in something sweet, often a slice of cake, accompanied by the warmth of coffee and lively conversation. Music was a source of joy in Carmen's life, lifting her spirits with its melodies. She adored flowers for their vibrant colors, which reflected the brightness she brought to life. Carmen found peace when she would sit and crochet. This gave her time to make warm gifts for those she loved. Her sweetness persisted until the very end, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Carmen is preceded in death by her loving husband, Benigno Santiago; parents, Onelia and Jacinto Lara; and brother, Luis Lara.

She is survived by her son, Benny Santiago Jr, wife, Yolanda, and their child, Yolenny, of Pennsylvania; son, Benjamin Santiago, and his son, Bryan, of Rogers, Arkansas; daughter, Brisi Santiago, husband, Aurelio, and their child, Angel, of Rogers, Arkansas; brother and sisters, Sonia Martinez, Jorge Lara, Ruben Torres, and Dolores Torres; and many other family and friends.

Visitation will take place from 3:00-5:00 pm, Sunday, March 10th, 2024 at Benton County Memorial Park, 3800 W Walnut, Rogers, Arkansas 72756

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, March 11th, 2024 at Benton County Memorial Par, 3800 W Walnut, Rogers, Arkansas 72756

Carmen Maria Santiago, de 87 años, falleció el 8 de marzo de 2024, en Rogers, Arkansas. Nació el 15 de julio de 1936, en Coamo, Puerto Rico.

El corazón de Carmen rebosaba de amor por su familia. Su cocina siempre reunía a sus seres queridos, creando momentos preciados de alegría y felicidad alrededor de la mesa. Después de la cena, disfrutaba indulgentemente de algo dulce, a menudo un trozo de pastel, acompañado del calor del café y animada conversación. La música era una fuente de alegría en la vida de Carmen, elevando su espíritu con sus melodías. Adoraba las flores por sus colores vibrantes, que reflejaban la luminosidad que ella misma irradiaba en la vida. Carmen encontraba paz cuando se sentaba a tejer. Esto le daba tiempo para hacer cálidos regalos para quienes amaba. Su dulzura persistió hasta el final, dejando atrás un legado de amor y recuerdos entrañables.

Carmen es precedida en la muerte por su amado esposo, Benigno Santiago; sus padres, Onelia y Jacinto Lara; y su hermano, Luis Lara.

Le sobreviven su hijo, Benny Santiago Jr, su esposa, Yolanda, y su hija, Yolenny, de Pensilvania; su hijo, Benjamin Santiago, y su hijo, Bryan, de Rogers, Arkansas; su hija, Brisi Santiago, su esposo, Aurelio, y su hija, Ángel, de Rogers, Arkansas; su hermano y hermanas, Sonia Martínez, Jorge Lara, Ruben Torres y Dolores Torres; y muchos otros familiares y amigos.

La visita se llevará a cabo de 3:00 a 5:00 pm, el domingo 10 de marzo de 2024, en Benton County Memorial Park, 3800 W Walnut, Rogers, Arkansas 72756.

El servicio funerario será a las 2:00 pm, el lunes 11 de marzo de 2024, en Benton County Memorial Park, 3800 W Walnut, Rogers, Arkansas 72756.
