Ann Wells, 69, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on June 12, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Joseph Eugene and Catherine Porter Williams Jewell. On August 22, 1981, Ann married Joe Wells in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They shared over thirty loving years together before his passing. Ann was a determined and passionate woman. Once she set her mind to something, nothing could stand in her way. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University and began her career working with small animals before pursuing her true calling in large animal veterinary care. She became a respected voice in sustainable and holistic animal health and farming. Her lifelong dream was to own a farm with sheep and cattle—a dream she not only achieved but deeply cherished. Her days on the farm brought her great joy, as she devoted herself to raising healthy animals and healthy pastures. Above all, Ann was a devoted mother. In her own words, she had "The two most wonderful children in the world, and through her son, a second daughter," who brought her immense happiness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe.

She is survived by two children, Katie and Matthew Wells; brother and sister-in-law, Ward and Nancy Jewell; sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Joe Land; nieces and nephews, Jillian Docter, Jeremy and Josh Jewell, as well as extended family and many dear friends.

Ann's Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025, on her farm, located at 15204 Cincinnati Road, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72704. Food and refreshments will follow at The Wedington Community Center.
