Charles F. Coats, age 84, died on November 1, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR. Charles is preceded in death by Joyce Jetton Coats, his wife of 61 years. He is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Ethel and Jim Girdner, Helen and Larry Hall both of Siloam Springs, AR and one son and his wife, Chuck and Ginger Coats of Irving, TX; four grandchildren, Kristie Helgeson, Charlie Girdner, Bill Hall and Haley Hall; five great grandchildren, Keaton, Quentin, Carson, Jenna and Savannna. Charles was born on June 27, 1931 in Dallas, TX to parents, James and Ella Mae Montgomery Coats. He graduated from the University of Dallas, TX. After graduation, he accepted a position at Chance Vought Aircraft where he worked for more than 40 years. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 PM on November 5 at First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the First Baptist Church (2000 Dawn Hill Rd) where Charles was a member for 25 years or to Siloam Springs Country Club (801 N. Country Club Rd.) where he served as past president and current board member. Arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers, AR.
