Obituary

Charles "Ray" Darby passed away July 17, 2012 in Jay, Oklahoma. Ray was born August 6, 1939 in Hennessey, Oklahoma to parents Hugh Tipton Darby and Grace Freeman Darby. As a young man, Ray enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam era. He went on to work as truck driver, working most recently for the Simmons Company. Ray enjoyed his family and also civil war reenactments, classic cars, tractors and auctions. Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Beatrice Turner and brothers, Dwight and Doyle Darby. He is survived by his wife, Mishelle "Shelly" Darby of Jay, Oklahoma; son, Dustin Ray Darby and wife Kendra Nichole of Miami, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Gracelynn Marie Darby and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services are set for 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
