Charles "Ed" Gray, age 74 of Centerton, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at his home. He was born on July 6, 1949 in Scott, Arkansas to the late Joseph Edward Gray and Nola Lorraine Stanley Gray. On May 31, 1968, he married Diane Churchwell in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a resident of Northwest Arkansas for 30 years after moving from Sherwood, Arkansas. Ed was a professional surveyor for 45 years and was retired. He mentored many people in his field of work, helping them with their studies to further their career. Aside from his career, flying small aircraft was a major passion for Ed. Most of all, he loved his family. In addition to his late parents, Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Allen Gray of Bentonville, Arkansas; his step father, C.W. Yarberry and his wife, Betty Yarberry.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Gray; one son, Mark A. Gray and wife, Lee Ann of Bentonville; daughter, Marci D. Gray of Centerton; grandson, Sean W. Gray of Lincoln, Arkansas; granddaughter, Laura D. Gray of Bentonville; one great granddaughter, Aubree E. Gillespie of Bentonville; two half-brothers, Carl Yarberry of Star City, Paul Yarberry and his wife, Julia of Bryant, Arkansas along with a host of family and friends.

Memorial services will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Benton County Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home. 3800 West Walnut Street, Rogers, Arkansas 72756.
