Charles Michael Frost, age 79, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Mike was born on January 1, 1947, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Warren and Linnie Frost. 

He loved to be outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. Mike was always up for a game of Texas Hold ‘em or dominoes. He worked for many years as an electrician in Chicago before opening his own construction business and later running a cattle farm. Mike was known for his kindness, loyalty, and gentle nature. He had a subtle, and, at times, unexpected sense of humor, and his jokes are often repeated at family gatherings. 

Mike is survived by his wife, Claudia Frost, two sons, Charles and Jeffrey Frost, three stepchildren, Terrence McKenna, Tracey (McKenna) Hayden, and Suzanne McKenna, and his daughters-in-law, Jill (Eminger) McKenna and Deborah Smithyman, and son-inlaw, Gary Hayden. He has six grandsons and two granddaughters, but, sadly, he will be unable to meet his first great-grandchild who is due later this year. He is predeceased by both parents and his brother, Terry Frost. 

Per Mike’s wishes, there will be no service. To honor Mike’s memory, donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation would be welcome.
