Mr. Charles Schroeder died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on July 21st, 2021 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, AR at the age of 67.
Charlie is survived by his children Adam (Nicci) Schroeder of Rogers, AR, Andy (Cassie) Schroeder of Garfield, AR, Alex (Claire) Schroeder of Louisville, KY. Siblings Robert (Vicki) of Boerne, TX, Norm (Sue) of Scottsdale, AZ, Carolyn Fair of Wichita, KS, Jim (Juli) of Broken Arrow, OK, and John (Becky) of Bentonville, AR. Grandchildren Nora, Camille, Annie, & Evelyn Schroeder.
Charlie was born on June 3, 1954 in Biloxi, MS to Robert Edward and Mary Louise Schroeder. He graduated from Moline High School class of 1972 in Illinois. He married Karen Kastelic on May 26th, 1978 in Moline, IL. After moving to Rogers, AR in 1983 he began the build of his dream home on Summer Shade Road. After mastering many trades, he finally settled into marine mechanics and started his very successful business of High-Performance Watercraft. His children remember him for his love of the outdoors, camping, fishing, and mechanics.
Charlie was a jack of all trades, master mechanic and skilled carpenter among many other things. He was an incredible storyteller, passionate about archelogy and artifacts. He was willing to help anyone who needed it and constantly went out of his way to help others. Charlie was a very active member of the Prairie Creek and Beaver Lake community and made numerous friends and relationships through fishing, boating and his business.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 31st at 11:30am at The Rocky Branch Baptist Church located at 19956 Rocky Branch Rd, Rogers AR 72756. There will be a luncheon after the service.
