Charline Truelove Dunkle, 92, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away July 10, 2025, in Altus. She was born on February 20, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Charles and Maxine Truelove. Later moved to West Fork, Arkansas at age 15; graduating from West Fork High School in 1951. Charline held various jobs over the years, starting as a telephone operator at Southwestern Bell, then serving as a bookkeeper for Prudential Insurance and at General Electric in North Carolina, and finally working as a secretary at the University of Arkansas Engineering Department and the West Fork School District until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed quilting, solving crossword puzzles, and reading Christian fiction. Charline was member at First Baptist Church of Bella Vista, Emmanuel Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of West Fork. She loved helping others quietly behind the scenes. In addition to her parents, Charline was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Dunkle, her siblings, David Truelove, Kathy Hays, and Richard Truelove, and her grandson, Devin Dunkle.
She is survived by two sons, Duane Dunkle and his wife, Becky, Brian Dunkle and his wife, Debbie; four granddaughters, Apryl Harbaugh and her husband, Seth, Danica Zanetti and her husband, Michael, Crystal Kinnaird and her husband, Nathan, Courtney Daugherty and her husband, Shawn; grandson, Matthew Dunkle; sixteen great-grandchildren, Everett, Elijah, Jenna, Ella, Salomae, Clay, Josiah, Ethan, Braeden, Oliver, Evaline, Ada, Everly, Dawson, Chesney, Parker; brother, Eddie Truelove and his wife, Kim; and many other beloved family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Rogers, Arkansas, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Benton County Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of her grandson Devin Dunkle who was a patient there.
