Obituary

Cindy Lou Petty (Kennan), 76, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on November 29, 1948, in Rogers, Arkansas, to W.B. and Evelyn Kennan, Jr. of Rogers, Arkansas.

She graduated from Rogers High School in 1966.  She began working as a key operator and secretary.  Cindy also worked for Daisy Gun in Rogers.  Her busy and fruitful life took her to many places.  She developed a passion for real estate.  Through this, she became very successful, well known and loved throughout her community.  She also received many sales awards over her forty-year real estate career.

Cindy was a strong and independent woman.  She was compassionate about her family, and she took great care of the details in life.  She loved The Lord, and she made sure to keep faith at the center of her family.  She always took the time to love the little things that were important to her, taking care of her home and nature's animals, including her abundant love for her dog, Stella.  She was selfless, always sacrificing for others.

Cindy was last married to the love of her life, Michael T. Ryan of Jenks, Oklahoma.  "Papa Mike" continued to love Cindy and provided unwavering emotional and physical support throughout her life which meant the world to her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, David Kennan of Rogers, Barbara Horton of Conway, Arkansas and Shirley Smith of Rogers.

She is survived by two children, Robert Todd (Shannon) Petty of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Kimberly Broyles of Claremore, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, Payton Sutton of Broken Arrow, Preston Petty of Broken Arrow, Shelby Broyles of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Brandon Broyles of Prescott, Arizona and River Whittaker of Claremore, two great granddaughters, Callie Lane Sutton and Maddie Broyles.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at MSM-Payne Funeral Home in Claremore, Oklahoma. Private inurnment will be at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers.

Arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Rogers, Arkansas.
