Memorial Service
Clarence Jay Dietz, 76, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at his home. He was born January 16, 1950, in Plainfield, Iowa, to the late Clarence John Dietz and Eldora (Meir) Dietz. Early in life, he worked as a dairy farmer. He joined the Navy in 1969 and fought bravely for his country during The Vietnam War. On October 6, 1983, he married Lavina Thoms in New Hampton, Iowa. They were happily married for forty-two years. He worked for The VA Health System and Benton County Road Department until his retirement. Jay was an avid supporter of his Local VFW Post 3031 in Rogers until his passing. He was a great brother, son, uncle and an amazing father to his five children.
Jay will be sincerely missed by his family and friends including his loving wife, Lavina Dietz; children: Lisia Johnson, KB (Jackson) Taylor, Dwayne Bockelmann, Deanne Dietz and Tracy Dietz; siblings: Anna Mae Brown, Roger Stufflebeam, Janet Joachim and George Dietz; grandchildren: Zachary Taylor, Chandler Wilson, Annabelle Wilson, Kaleb Johnson, Jacob Johnson and Jay Kidd; great grandchildren: Mason Johnson, Kayson Johnson, Maverick Johnson, Onyx Wilson, Axel Wilson, Kadence Miley, Mylee Taylor, Kinsley Taylor, Blakely Taylor, Julian Taylor and Hayden Taylor.
A memorial service will take place 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026, at VWF Post 3031 in Rogers. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home in Rogers.
