Col. Marvin Dean Keenen, age 85, of Rogers, Arkansas formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born August 30, 1933 in Lamar Colorado, to Howard Grant and Maude C Etter Keenen. Col. Keenen retired from the United States Army as a Colonel, and was a member at 1st Baptist Church in Rogers. He was a member of the Purple Heart Association and loved gardening and yard care. Col. Keenen was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirlene Finn Keenen, daughter, Marlene Keenen, brothers, Leland, Edwin,, Gerald and Kenneth Keenen. Sisters, Eudora Bugg, Faith West and Sharon Shook. Col. Keenen is survived by his sons, Howard (Greg) Keenen, and Jeffrey Keenen, sisters, Irenen Powell, Vivanne (Anny) Carlile. 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Visitation for Col. Keenen will be held 6:30 - 8:30pm, Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10:30am, Monday, January 21, 2019 at 1st Baptist Church in Rogers, Olive Street Campus. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home.
