Obituary

Cynthia Lynn “Cindy” McGlynn passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, after a battle with stage 4 melanoma. She was born August 6, 1966, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Jim and Judy Waggoner. Before her second birthday, her family relocated to Arkansas, where she spent her early years in Hot Springs, Little Rock, and Fort Smith. She graduated from Fort Smith Southside High School in 1984 and went on to attend Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.

Cindy built a successful career as a business analyst and auditor, known for her dedication, intelligence, and strong work ethic. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone she met. Her infectious laughter, compassionate spirit, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Cindy found joy in life’s simple pleasures—floating down the river in a canoe, shopping trips, and cheering on Arkansas Razorback football. She was happiest when surrounded by family, creating memories filled with laughter and love. Her children, Michael and Andrew, and her grandson, Monroe, were the light of her life, and she was also a devoted aunt to her eleven nieces and nephews, who adored her humor, strength, and fierce protectiveness. In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her brother, David Keith Waggoner.

Cindy is survived by her sons, Andrew McGlynn and his fiancé, Jenna Davis, Michael McGlynn and his wife, Maysie; grandson, Monroe; parents, Jim and Judy Waggoner; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Carol Ann Waggoner; sisters and brothers-in-law, Suzy and John Reed, and Amy and George Rutzen; sister-in-law, Melissa Waggoner; eleven nieces and nephews and many other beloved family and friends.

A celebration of life will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Chapel on the Creeks in Rogers, Arkansas. A separate service will take place at 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Jim and Judy Waggoner’s home in Little Rock, Arkansas. Please contact the family for additional details regarding the Little Rock service.

Memorial donations may be made in Cindy’s memory to Circle of Life Hospice, whose compassionate care and support meant so much to her and her family.
