Cynthia (Cindy) Hendricks Gabbard Schmidt, 60, of Spingdale died on June 25 at Circle of Life in Springdale. She was born in Big Springs, Texas on August 29, 1952 to Thomas and Doris Hendricks. Cindy attended Fayetteville High School and received her Bachelors and Masters Degress from the University of Arkansas. She was an elementary school teacher for 25 years. Cindy taught at St. Joseph Catholic School in Fayetteville, Leveret Elementary School in Fayettevile and Joe Mathias Elementary School in Rogers. She also taught at American School of Niamey in Niamey, Niger West Africa and Brent Internation School in Subic Bay, Philippines. Besides teaching in Elementary Schools she also taught Preschool at First Bapist Church in Fayetteville. Cindy was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Fayetteville. She ws preceded in death by her brother Thomas Hendricks, Jr, her first husband Carl Gabbard and her grandparents. Cindy is survived by her husband Andrew Schmidt of the home. Her son Chad Gabbard and his wife Tiffany. Daughter Cher Gabbard Masters and her husband Chris of Conway. Her parents Thomas and Doris Hendricks of Greenland. Her sister Cece Hilliard and her husband Jerry of Fayetteville, five grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul Episcopal Church in Fayetteville on Saturday June 29. Family will be in the Parish Library at 10:30 a.m for visitation. Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m in the Church followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale or to a local Animal Shelter. Visitation 10:30 AM Saturday, June 29th, 2013
