Daniel Aubray Jenkins, 88, passed away peacefully March 6th, 2018, at his home. Born December 28, 1929 in Boydsville, AR to Almos Earl Jenkins and Nellie Frances Thompson. He moved to Detroit, MI at 18 to work for US Steel, and then served in the U.S Army 9th Field Artillery Regiment during the Korean War. Following his service, he returned to Michigan where he worked for Michigan Gas Company and owned the Sunoco Gas Station on Packard and Platt. He retired from building homes in NW AR after 25 years to spend time with his grandchildren and horses. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ where he had served as a deacon. He was also a member of Rogers Riding Club. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Darlene Reeves Jenkins, and their son Eric Avery Jenkins, his sister Mary Sheppard, and his parents. Survived by his children Kathy Collins and her husband Kevin of Garfield, Karen Lundy and her husband Mark of Rogers, Amy Dye and her husband Brian of Bentonville, Colleen Allerdice and her husband Jim of Senoia, GA. Steven Jenkins of Ft. Smith; Nine grandchildren, Jamey (Alicia) and Stephanie Allerdice, Sarah (Tyler) Wainscott, Hunter (Emily) Collins, Ben (Keelie), Ellen, and Erin Lundy, Joe and Emily Jenkins; and two great grandchildren, Benjamen Coy Lundy, and Elias Parcell and a third on the way; Three sisters, Minnie Coshatt of Michigan, Lucy Davis of Ft. Wayne, IN and Earline Bradberry of Piggott, AR and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Green Valley Bible Camp via Southside Church of Christ. Visitation 6:00 PM Thursday, March 8th, 2018
