Obituary

David Wayne Anderson, 74, of Rogers, Arkansas entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 1, 2026, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale following a lengthy illness.

David was born on February 26, 1952 in Galveston to the late Bernhard and Jean Reed Anderson. A 1970 graduate of Ball High School, David excelled in football. David obtained his degree from Houston Baptist University and his master's from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft Worth, TX.

As a young man, David gave his heart to Jesus Christ in his late teens and devoted the rest of his life to sharing the Gospel. David faithfully served as Associate Pastor, Children's Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Senior Pastor of churches in Texas, California, and Arkansas. Serving the Lord was the joy of David's life.

In addition to ministry, David worked for several organizations including JV Manufacturing, Dayspring Cards, and Schwan's using his skills of human resources, drafting, and health and safety. Whether in the workplace or ministry, David was known for his integrity, servant's heart, and genuine care for people.

David met his wife, Michele, at First Baptist Church Spring Branch in Houston, Texas. They were married in 1980 and built a loving home together, raising three children: Jonathan, Michael, and Melissa. In 1991, the family moved to Northwest Arkansas, where they made their home in Bella Vista, Bentonville, Gentry, and Rogers.

David is preceded in death by his twin sons, Josh and Bryan Anderson; parents, Bernhard and Jean Anderson; and his brothers, Bernhard Jr., Wiley, and Jean Anderson.

David is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Michele; his children, Jonathan David Anderson and wife Sarah Anderson of Georgia, Michael Dane Anderson and wife Liz Anderson of Rogers, Arkansas, and Melissa Ticer and husband Steven Ticer of East Texas; sister, Nora Anderson, and brother Lawrence Anderson.

More than anything, David will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love for his family, and his desire to point others to Christ. He leaves precious memories with all those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed on this earth, but we know that we will see him again in heaven.

A memorial service to honor David's life will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 10:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave, Springdale, AR 72762.
