David August Langer, age 72 of Elkins, passed away July 2, 2014. David was born March 24, 1942 in Buffalo, New York to parents August Alois Anna and Eleanor Ellen Krueger. David was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Springdale. He also enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. David was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Langer. David is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Melcher and husband David of Elkins; Grandchildren Joshua Melcher and wife Bethany, Michael Melcher, Timothy Melcher and wife Cassandra, Zachary Melcher, Rebekah Melcher and former spouse, Glenda "Penny" Stevens. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers, Arkansas.
