David West, age 59 of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale, Arkansas. David was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 21, 1953 to Albert and Dorothy (Southworth) West. David was a member of the (PRCA) Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the (IPRA) International Professional Rodeo Association. He enjoyed being outside, riding horses, traveling the country and the mountains, and David loved being with his family. Preceded in death by his father and two sisters; David is survived by his mother Dorothy West of Ft. Smith; two sons, Tyler West of Lincoln, Arkansas; Travis West of Pennsylvania; one sister, Barbara West of Ft. Smith; one grandchild, Cruz West; numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. There will be a Family and Friends Gathering 12:00 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the home of Tyler West (479) 287-3862 (11210 North Old Cincinnati Road) in Lincoln, Arkansas. If there is inclement weather the gathering will be at Old Union Cemetery in Cincinnati, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Tyler West to help pay for funeral expenses.
