Dennis Ray Davison, 71, of Rogers passed peacefully in his home on September 25, 2026. 

Dennis grew up on a farm in Sikeston, Missouri. He was the youngest of twelve kids born to Hettie B. and James "Elmo" Davison. 

As a teenager, Dennis traveled state-to-state working as a fruit harvester. In 1973, he went to Florida to pick oranges; it was there he met the love of his life, Nancy. They married and had a daughter, Daphne. 

In 1978, they moved to Rogers where Dennis started at Scott Paper Company, where he worked until they closed in the 90's. He then went on to start his dream job of driving a big truck. He drove for Willis Shaw, DMT, and Guardian Glass. As a truck driver, Dennis traveled all over the United States. He was meticulous with his log books and could rattle off detailed directions to every place he'd ever been (and the best places to eat as you were traveling). 

Dennis never met a stranger. All anybody had to do was mention that they had a motorcycle, 4-wheeler, dog, or were from a town he'd been, and he'd sit and talk to them for hours. He was a shade-tree mechanic and could fix just about anything with a motor. Dennis retired early and spent that time riding his Harley, camping, and 4-wheeling with his friends. 

He will be greatly missed by many. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hettie B. and James "Elmo" Davison; sisters, Mary Ellen, Kathryn, Imogene, Wilma Dee, and Joan; and brothers, Glen, Lynn, Jesse, Joe, and Johnie. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy; daughter, Daphne (Chad); grandchildren, Kayla (Logan), Dillon, and Abigail (Ryan); great-granddaughter, Brayleigh; and sister, Peggy (Ralph). 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10:00 A.M at Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 3800 W Walnut Street, Rogers, Arkansas, 72756. Dennis will be laid to rest at Benton County Memorial Park following the funeral service.
