Richard " Dick" Louis Swanda, age 91 of Rogers, passed away on September 21, 2022. Dick was born on July 7, 1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Franklin John Swanda and Nora L. Dillingham Swanda. He was united in marriage to Owaelah Lu Swanda and was married for 47 years. Dick served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and worked many years in heating and air conditioning. He also built a career in home building with Swanda Construction and was a former President of the Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association, He enjoyed fishing, playing bridge and spending time with his family and friends. Dick was preceded in death by his wife and parents. He is survived by his son, Mike Swanda of Noel, Missouri; daughters, Marilyn Patton and husband Larry of Rogers, Lee Ann Ward and husband Harrison of Rogers; grandchildren, Rick Patton, Erin Hueter and Stephanie Reyes; great grandchildren, Lukas and Allison Hueter. Arrangements made with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers. A memorial is planned at a later date.
