Donald "Don" William Allen, age 74 of Huntsville, passed away June 19, 2010. Don was born February 7, 1936 at Denver, Colorado to parents Otis Dwight and Gladys Irene Evans Allen. Don had lived in Huntsville for eight years and was a resident of the hilltop area. Don was united in marriage to Fredna "Evan" Shane on May 14, 1971 at Jay, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Huntsville and an avid reader. Don was also a talented Chef and was self employed for many years. Don was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dwight Eugene Allen and Carl Edward Allen. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Evan Allen of Huntsville; sons, Donald Jerome Bunch of Germany, Michael Eugene Allen of Huntsville, Dwight William Allen of California, Gary Steven Bunch of Texas; daughters, Annette Archer of Missouri, Marla K. Spiva of Rogers, Ar., Kathleen Melanie Liggett of Oregon, Verlinda Faye Rabitto of Louisiana, Darlena Ruth Allen of Gravette, Arkansas; brothers, Daniel Allen and Richard Allen; sisters, Jo Ann Churchill and Lorrie Kramer; eighteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services are set for 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Huntsville.
