Donald "Donnie" Chesnut, age 74 of Rogers and a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas, passed away September 9, 2023.  Donnie was born August 1, 1949 in Freck, Arkansas to parents Walter and Telia Still Chesnut.  As a young man, Donnie served in the United States Army and was very proud of his service.   After leaving the Army he worked several years for Decker Motor Company in Rogers before eventually starting his own Car Business, Motor Haven Auto Sales in Pea Ridge, which he ran for 40 years.  Donnie had a passion for restoring muscle cars and was known for racing the quarter mile over the Highway 12 bridge. He was united in marriage to Geraldine "Geri" Macon and they enjoyed many years together.   Donnie was also a member of Calvary Church in Springdale and enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and spending time with family.

Donnie was preceded in death by his wife, Geri; parents and one brother, David Chesnut.  He is survived by his daughter, Angela Bayles and husband Michael of Rogers; brothers, Wayne Chesnut of Rogers, Eddie Chesnut and wife Brenda of Bentonville; sisters, Sharon Worley and husband David of Pea Ridge and Brenda Green and husband Troy of Monett, Mo.; grandchildren, Sara Neitzel and husband Damion of Bella Vista and Austin Bayles and wife Sydnie of Bella Vista; great grandchildren, Landen Neitzel, Layken Neitzel, Lillien Neitzel, Brinlee Bayles and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be 11:30 A.M Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with full military honors.  The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.  Arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 479-636-2412.
