Donald "Vincent" West, 67, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, in Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was born June 6, 1958, in Rogers, Arkansas, to Donald Ray West and Rebecca Ann Saulsberry West. Vincent was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a man of faith, and his Christian beliefs were an anchor that guided him through life's joys and challenges. Known for his warmth, generosity and easy smile, Vincent was a stranger to no one and a friend to so many.
A standout athlete during his years at Bentonville High School, Vincent was an exceptional multi-sport competitor. He earned accolades and set records in football, basketball, baseball and track and field distinguishing himself as one of the most versatile and accomplished athletes of his time in Arkansas. Even decades later, his achievements as a Tiger remained a source of pride and admiration. He remained a proud Tiger at heart throughout his life.
He had a lifelong love for the outdoors. Vincent found peace, joy and a deep connection to the world around him in hunting, fishing, gardening and simply being in nature. He also had a passion for music, history, astronomy and cooking, enthusiasms he shared freely with those around him. He loved his dogs. For decades, his Gordon Setters were his constant and loyal companions. He adored them deeply.
Professionally, Vincent was an expert machinist and carbide specialist, dedicating nearly thirty years to Bentonville Cutting Tools, the family owned business where he worked alongside his father, Don, his sister, Valerie and his son, Ryan. He was known for his precision, craftsmanship and pursuit of excellence in every detail of his work. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Ray and Rebecca Ann West.
He is survived by two sons, Donald "Ryan" West and Adam Vincent West; two sisters, Valerie West and Lynn West; nephews, Kristopher Ashmore and Tyler Vanden Heuvel and his wife, Bonnie; great niece, Ellaani Ashmore; two great nephews, Gabriel and Gideon Vanden Heuvel. Vincent's legacy is one of love, craftsmanship and connection. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Chapel on the Creeks, 5202 Village Parkway, Rogers, Arkansas 72758 with Tyler Vanden Heuvel officiating. The interment will follow at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers. Pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Mark Conn, Denver West, Whit Light, Bryce Conn, David Brown, Bill Layman and Jeff Cavness. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Smith, Joe Childers, Paul Sawyer, Charles Rudd Junior, Scott Curran, Scott Hatcher, Scotty Harrison, Scott Cooper, Dennis Westbrook, Bill Elder and Del Groh.
