Polly Doris Pauline "Polly" Cloer was born on October 20,1927 in Bentonville, Ar. to Alvis & Estellel Cloer. Dr. Atkinson one the few Drs in Bentonville, delivered Polly in her grandmother's home close to R.E. Baker Elementary school. Polly grew up with older sister Geraldine "Jerry" who was two years older. Her younger brother Larry, "Buck" Cloer came along in January 1946 the same year that Paul & Polly were married. Paul & Polly were both from Bentonville, but they met in Los Angles, Ca. Polly's parents moved to Ca. in the 1940's along with half the town of Bentonville to find work! Polly went to visit her cousin Ruby one afternoon who was married to Bob Brewer. Bob's younger brother Paul was on leave from the Navy & was visiting. It was love at first sight. Polly & Paul wrote letters during the war & were married January 20, 1946 when Paul returned from the war. They celebrated 60 years of marriage until Pauls death in April 2006. During summer months of high school, Polly worked at the Sunset Hotel on the hill in Bella Vista. Polly was blessed with two daughers & one son. Tonda Randolph, Daphna Mendoza & the late Tony Brewer. Three grandchildren-Stormy Randolph, Eric Mendoza & Cara Baltazar. Four great- grand children-Pierce & Brinley Mendoza, Nohelia & Elysia Baltazar. Polly was a stay at home mother most of her life. While she still had two children at home, she took in her mother after the death of her father. Granny Cloer became a part of the Brewer family for the next 24 years until her death at age 91. Polly worked 10 years as a cook at Bentonville schools. She also worked a few years at Bushes's Shoe Store on the Bentonville square. Polly & Paul loved to square dance at Bella Vista Hill & Dale in their younger years. They continued to dance at the American Legion in their later years. Memorial 11:00 AM Saturday, March 3rd, 2018
