Dorothy Jeannette Walters Boughan, 87, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026, at her home. She was born October 26, 1938, in Lubbock, Texas, to Monroe Calvin Walters and Frances PettyJohn. After graduating from high school in Lubbock, she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing in Phoenix, Arizona, and worked as a registered nurse in Phoenix and Kingman, Arizona, for most of her working life. She later made her home in Bentonville, where she lived for about 15 years. Dorothy loved her family and being a wife and mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Boughan, and her brother, Sonny Walters.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Gregory and her husband, Kenneth, of Farmington, Arkansas; Debora Curry of Bentonville, Arkansas; Kenneth Boughan Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and Hugh Boughan of Jonesboro, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Sam Christian, Elizabeth Gregory, Grace Holmquest, Tyler Boughan, and Katie Boughan; four great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Maxine Bolton of Lubbock, Texas, and Saundra Smith of Sun City, Arizona.

A graveside service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Arkansas.
