Obituary

Earl Ronald Weber, of Hiwasse, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, November 7th, 2024. He was born on October 16, 1946, in Denver, Colorado, to the late Albert and Florentine Weber. A 1965 graduate of Jasper High School, Earl excelled in football and track. Earl served his country with honor, completing two tours in Vietnam with the United States Air Force. In 1981, Earl met Sharon (Hicks) and six weeks later, were married on Christmas Eve. This marriage was only the beginning of a deep and meaningful bond. Earl dedicated many years of hard work to O'Sullivan Industries in Lamar, Missouri, before he and Sharon relocated to Rogers, Arkansas. There, he took on a new role with the Water Utilities department, serving his community until retirement. He also loved fishing and hunting, spending time outdoors, and taking on carpentry projects big and small—whether making jewelry boxes for his grandchildren or assisting with home renovations for family. Everything Earl did, was done with commitment and hard work. He loved tending to his garden, growing vegetables for himself and his family. Faith became an essential part of Earl's journey, and he committed his life to Christ on October 26, 2015. His devotion brought him peace and purpose, and his faith illuminated the love he shared with those around him. His greatest joy was his family. Earl's family was his greatest source of happiness. He took special pride in watching his grandsons play football, attending their games whenever health allowed. Earl was a quiet but steady presence, making others feel safe and cherished, whether they shared a conversation or simply sat in comfortable silence. He was a bit of a picky eater, but he did love his sweets. Anytime one of the grandkids would be headed home, Earl would sneak a piece of candy into their pockets. A small gesture which created lasting and meaningful memories. Earl leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and resilience. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Florentine Weber; and brothers, Terry Weber and Kenny Weber.

Earl is survived by his wife, Sharon Weber, of the home; son, Jeremy Weber, of Galveston, Texas; daughters, Jennifer Schiek, of Branson, Missouri, Jamie Weber, of Branson, Missouri, Cheryl Sluyter and husband, Aaron, of Bentonville, Arkansas, Christina Sluyter and husband, Charles, of Bentonville, Arkansas; twenty-two grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Weber and wife, Sheila, of Aurora, Colorado, Don Weber and wife, Kay, of Jasper, Missouri; sisters, Joanne Mauslein, of Lamar, Missouri, Betty Shiflett, of Kansas City, Missouri; a multitude of nieces and nephews; many other family, friends, and loved ones; and of course his dog, Buddy Butch Weber.
