Obituary

Edward H. Stoner, a native of Trotwood, Ohio, and a resident of Bella Vista, AR, passed away October 19, 2022, following an emergency surgery on his small intestine, where cancer was discovered. Born in Trotwood in January of 1947, he was the son of the late Harold E. and Icil W. Stoner of Trotwood, and his roots in Trotwood & Montgomery County, Ohio go back several generations. Ed was a 1965 graduate of Trotwood Madison H.S. Where he enjoyed sports and other activities. He was a 1982 Cum Laude graduate of Park University in Parkville, MO, and completed several specialized programs sponsored by Harvard Law School and Tuffs University.
Ed was a 6-year member of Det. 1, Co. A, 1/166 Infantry Division, US Army. He was a Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy for several years prior to relocating to Houston, TX for a Human Resource Director position in a large oil pipe company. He had a lengthy career with Ball Corporation in Muncie, Indiana and in Broomfield, Colorado. Ed Retired in 2002 and relocated to Kimberling City, MO.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Jaqueline M. Stoner of Bella Vista, AR; a sister Mary Jean Reed & husband Ralph Reed of Winston-Salem, NC; sons Rodney S. Stoner & his wife Diane of Charlotte, NC; Jason E. Stoner of Ft. Smith, AR, and Stephen Powell. Also, three granddaughters and one grandson all residing in Southern CA, and two great granddaughters in Temecula, CA.
It is requested that any memorial donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Memorial services are pending with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
