IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth Gail
Threet
February 12, 1951 – August 31, 2025
Elizabeth "Liz" Gail Threet, 74, of Rogers Arkansas passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025. She was born February 12, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas to the late Edwin and Carmen Robertson. As the daughter of an Army veteran, she grew up an "Army brat," living in numerous places, including Germany, where she graduated from high school. Liz was the oldest of seven children, a fact she announced with pride to everyone she met—though she might playfully omit that she was also the shortest. She shared an unbreakable bond with her brothers and sisters, a loving and faithful force to be reckoned with. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she shared it openly with everyone.
Her journey into motherhood began in Germany with the birth of her first child, Michele. A few years later, back in the States at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, she welcomed her son, William. In 1976, her life changed forever when she met and married the love of her life, Joe Threet. With their union, Liz was blessed with a bonus daughter, Kristen. The family soon moved from Lawton, Oklahoma, to their longtime home in Rogers, Arkansas. Their family was made complete with the birth of their son, Nathan.
In 1986, Liz and Joe purchased a family business in Bentonville. Through good years and tough ones, the one constant was Mom. After long weeks at the office, she never missed a chance to come home and cook a meal for her family. One thing was certain: no one ever went hungry, not even when her daughter Shelly's favorite Chop Suey was on the menu.
With a natural knack for numbers, Liz built a lifelong career in accounting. She cherished her time working at American Air in Springdale, where her colleagues, Martha and Richard, became dear friends. For a few years, Liz had the opportunity to join Joe on the road in his truck. She loved seeing the country with him, traveling from South Texas to Canada. She kept her hands and mind busy, crocheting beautiful creations as the miles rolled by.
A lifetime member of the VFW in Rogers, Liz could be found there every other Friday, singing karaoke and lighting up the room. She was always the first to lend a helping hand, organizing donations and giving generously herself.
Liz was an inspiration. She always had a story to share, and she loved nothing more than to talk about her children and grandchildren. Her family was her world, right up to her final hours. In addition to her parents, Liz was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her four children, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. While she will be missed beyond measure, her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace with our God, reunited with those who went before her.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Union Chapel Cemetery in Garfield, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made, in Liz's honor to the Rogers VFW Post 3031.
