Emma Phelan, age 97 of Rogers, passed away August 22, 2019. Emma was born October 12, 1921 in Plain, New Mexico to parents Louis Shelby and Fannie Beckham Shelby. She was united in marriage to Leroy Phelan and they enjoyed 43years of marriage. Emma was talented when it came to crafting, cooking and gardening. She greatly enjoyed painting and helping others in need. Emma will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; parents; great grandson, Gaige Burnett; sisters, Stella Van Houten and Grace Box and brothers, Leonard Shelby, Bert Shelby and Wade Shelby. Emma is survived by her son, Burl Phelan and wife Nancy of Corsicana, Texas; daughter, Lanita Phelan of Rogers; grandson, Weston Adams and wife Vanessa; granddaughters, Brenda McClure and husband Steve and Racheal Bobo and husband Ryan; great grandsons, Justin Sloan and wife Sunhee Kim and Rowan Adams; great granddaughter, LeAndrea Jordan and husband Nathan; great-great granddaughters, Ali Jordan and Natalie Jordan and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at 1:30 P.M.
