Eugene Allen Ladd, age 81 of Springdale, passed away March 19, 2013. Gene was born March 21, 1931 in Hardwick, Minnesota to Howard Ladd and Emma Louise Bock Ladd. As a young person, Gene served in the United States Navy and was very proud of his service. Gene went on to receive his Juris Doctorate Degree and spent many years working in the legal department for Aetna Insurance in Hartford, Ct. In retirement, Gene relocated to Springdale, Arkansas to be closer to family. He enjoyed reading, classical music, walking and was a member of both the VFW and AARP. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, as well as brothers, Gordon Ray Ladd and Larry Wayne Ladd and sisters, Lois Lorraine Ladd and Carol Jenine Ladd. He is survived by his sister, Delores Ladd Ver Steeg and husband Kenneth of Springdale; niece, Deborah Mickelson and family of Springdale; nephew, Keith Wayne Ver Steeg and family of Spring Hill, Tn. and a host of other relatives and friends.
