Eugene "Gene" Charles Roche, age 84, a resident of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away November 26, 2011 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Gene was born on May 28, 1927 in Page, Nebraska to Edward and Mildred (Holly) Roche. He joined the Army at the age of 17 and served until the end of WWII. Gene worked in the Auto Industry in California for over 45 years, before retiring to Rogers, AR with wife Donna; they were followed by many relatives to the area. He loved his children and grandchildren more than anything. He was a mentor to them all along with many of their friends. Gene touched the lives of many people; he was loved and cherished by those who knew him. Gene enjoyed camping, cooking, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Leo Lee; one sister, Janet Williams; Gene is survived by his wife Donna Roche of Rogers, AR; seven children, Jerry Roche, Diane Romero, Mark Shadlow, Ronald Roche, Cynthia Rogers, Robert Roche, and Kelly Shadlow; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, John Roche; one sister, MaryAnn Oestreich; and many many nieces and nephews. A private memorial service for family will be held in the near future at Benton County Memorial Park's Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers, Arkansas.
