Faye Maureen Doege, age 77, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 in Fayetteville. Faye was born in Prairie Grove, Arkansas on November 21, 1934 to Tom and Mildred (Cannon) Lavender. Faye was a member of the Poet's Round Table of Arkansas and she enjoyed writing poetry and prose, bowling, and she loved her cat Freckles. Preceded in death by her parents, Faye is survived by one son, Eric Doege and wife Kathy Poore of Fayetteville; two brothers, Jerry Lavender and wife Sally of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Bill Lavender and wife Nancy of New Orleans, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Sarah Doege of Madison, Wisconsin; Jana Doege of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; Karl Doege of Denver, Colorado; former spouse, Hans K. Doege of Priarie Grove, Arkansas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Graveside Inurnment services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, January 13, 2012 at Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
