IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Floyd
Mckirch
September 7, 1950 – April 8, 2024
Floyd McKirch, 73, of Colcord, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at his home. Floyd was born September 7, 1950, in Bentonville, Arkansas, to the late Verney and Leona Parker McKirch. He worked many years as a professional driver over the road, seeing much of the United States. Floyd was a loving father, raising three children, and a devoted husband to his wife of 52 years, Fontella Mae McKirch. In his younger years, Floyd had a passion for music, playing the drums and even the guitar in a local band that performed at his bar, "The Elk Head Tavern," in Pineville, Missouri. When asked, the family of Mr. McKirch told me he loved his grandkids and was an outstanding grandfather, but above all, Floyd loved Fontella. Along with his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Fontella McKirch.
He is survived by three children: Candita Rhine of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; Amanda Barnard and her husband Sonny of Colcord, Oklahoma; and Danny McKirch of Bruner, Missouri. He is also survived by grandchildren Cortney Lambeth, Brittany Rhine, Nikki Barnard, Jamie Rhine, Tamara Barnard, and Maggie Barnard, as well as four great-grandchildren. Floyd is survived by siblings Gene McKirch, Betty Sharp, Vernon McKirch, Bill McKirch, and many other beloved family and friends.
A memorial service for Mr. McKirch will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Benton County Memorial Park Chapel, 3800 W. Walnut St., Rogers, Arkansas.
Funeral arrangements are under the compassionate care of Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home (479) 636-2412.
