Gary Kent Hand, 69, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at his home. He was born October 20, 1956, in Newton, Kansas, to Kenneth Hand and Dorine Hand Stellies. Gary was raised in a loving family on a gentleman's farm with horses, chickens, goats, peacocks, dogs, and cats. Going to church on Sundays was a regular routine, and he was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He grew up working at his father and uncle's truck stop, Hand and Hand Phillips 66, in Newton, Kansas. Gary was exceptional with anything mechanical and loved cars and motorcycles. With only a small backpack, he took off on his motorcycle and traveled to California to escape the small town where he grew up. While there, he loved the beaches and enjoyed surfing. After California, he moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he lived on the lake. Later in life, he returned to Kansas and lived in Wichita before moving to Rogers, Arkansas, where he cared for his aging parents. He passed away following a period of declining health.

Gary is survived by his sister, Colleen Hand Catroppa; along with many other beloved family and friends.
