Al Penny, age 56 of Bentonville, passed away July 2, 2010. Al was born December 3, 1953 at Logansport, Indiana to parents George Penny and Hazel Murphy Penny. He grew up in Logansport and remained in Indiana until moving to Northwest Arkansas in 1992. During his time in Indiana, Al attended Ball State University receiving his degree in Engineering. On September 12, 1992, Al and Patti Allison were united in marriage at Bentonville. They enjoyed many happy years of marriage. Al worked at CEI Engineering of Bentonville from 1992 to 2000. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a member of the Elks Club. Al was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Patti of the home; daughter, Ginger Bennett and husband Bill of Bentonville; son, Jamey Shaver and wife Carrie of Camarillo, California; grandchildren, Shelby Bennett, Reese Shaver, Lindsey Shaver; his friends at CEI Engineering and a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
