George Allen Davis Jr., age 67,went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2013 at his home. He was born on May 3, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas to George Allen and Betty Jo Davis. George graduated from North Little Rock HIgh School in 1964 and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He joined our nation's military in 1965 as a Huey Helicopter Crew Chief in the United States Army. George Married Joycee Holland on July 1 1974. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife; one son, Cary Davis and wife Debbie of Farmington; one daughter, Kimberly Davis-Bowen of Springdale; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Davis ,Aaron Bowen, Justin Bowen, Walker Davis and Sadie Davis; one great grandchild, Stella Jane Barnard ;two brothers, John Davis and wife Janet, Todd Davis and wife Sherry; two sisters, Margaret Ann Echols and husband Joel, Jo Ellen Clark and husband Scott; his brother-in-law Gregg Holland and many nieces and nephews. George never met a stranger, enjoyed life and was adored by many co workers and customers while employed at Coca Cola Company, Rainbo Bread and Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market Store 2742. A celebration of George's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3,2013 at Grace United Methodist Church in Rogers, Arkansas officiated by Rev. Zach Underwood.
