George Henry Moran Sr., 82, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born July 19, 1942 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late George Emmet and Elois Cassaw Moran. George loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, catching snakes at Roaring River State Park in his youth, and taking care of his pet cougar named Shena. Mr. Moran owned his own trucking company before transitioning to a career at Wal-Mart as a professional driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, George Henry Moran Jr. and his sister, Jo Ann Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Moran of Rogers, Arkansas; daughter, Terry Davis of Rogers, Arkansas; two brothers, Ray Dean (and wife, Marlene) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bill Moran (and wife, Alice) of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, two grandchildren, Shawn Davis (and wife, Jenifer) of Bentonville, Arkansas, Heather Thompson (and husband, Jeremiah) of Rogers, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren, Reana Thompson, Makaylah Davis, Gaven Thompson, Paisley Thompson; great-great-grandson, Miles Shoemaker and one great-great grandchild on the way.

A celebration of life service will be 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. May 3, 2025 at Roaring River State Park 12716 Farm Road 2239, Cassville, Mo. Lunch will be provided; homemade dishes are welcomed.
